A modest network of supporters help us by working as Friends & Representatives of Global Care. Would you like to join them?
Who are the Friends and Reps?
Friends and Reps are volunteers who support our work in many practical ways. Anyone of any age and situation can become a Friend and Rep.
What do they do?
Friends and Reps
- Pray for Global Care: for our work, staff and the children we support. Prayer underpins all our work.
- Talk about us to family and friends: Word of mouth is the best way for us to find new supporters. Please recommend us to others
- Publicise our work: Could you pin up posters or leave leaflets at your local shops, library, work places or church?
- Arrange fundraising events: sponsorsed events, coffee mornings, car boot sales, games evenings. We can help with ideas and information on specific projects or countries.
- Encourage schools to use our educational materials: Did you know that Global Care can fulfil part of the PSHE curriculum? Contact us to find out more
- Talk to churches or groups: We can provide display materials and give advice
- Donate to our charity shops: If you live near Coventry, the shops take good quality clothes, books, bric-a-brac, toys, music and jewellery
- Volunteer: We always need volunteers in our charity shops and sometimes to help with mailings in our office. Occasionally volunteers visit an international project as part of a short-term team
You don’t have to do it all! But doing what you can still makes a difference.
Our Friends and Reps do a great job. Thank you for all your efforts.
